The forefront of the contemporary philanthropic movement with in the Arab-American community is the Center for Arab American Philanthropy headed by Maha Freij.
The Center was formed from the project of a service organization in Dearborn, Michigan called ACCESS.
ACCESS supports programs in physical and mental health, employment services, academic programs for youth and panoply of information, referral, immigration, and legal services for the Arab-American population.
